The End of History

The End of History

Australian techno producers Darcy and Pat struggle to acclimatise to a changing Berlin where the clubs have briefly been closed down. Forced to either talk to each other or to finally engage with a city they know only as a playground for high-as-f*ck expat artists, they leave as fast as they can to East Germany proper to create "something no one's ever done before".

Offering a hilarious and often horrific rendition of a lifestyle that - at some point - we’ve all dreamed of, the film takes audiences on a desperate search to be part of something, that for the most part, leads only to broken mattresses in piss-stained apartments, drug addiction and complete isolation. Written and filmed in eight days, The End of History epitomises the DIY filmmaking spirit, and is deeply relatable to anyone who has sacrificed or struggled in the hope of creating something great and profound, only to be met with apathy.

Featuring a live post-screening performance.

Darcy and Pat will celebrate the premiere of the film with a live showcase of their innovative new genre of club music invented by them in the historic city of Berlin. They have warned that the music may be “junky”, “sexual” and “authentic”. Throughout the performance at FFFA, they reserve all rights to the genre!
