Polite Society

A merry mash-up of sisterly affection, parental disappointment and bold action, Polite Society follows Ria Khan, a martial artist-in-training who’s determined to save her older sister Lena from her impending marriage. After enlisting the help of her friends, Ria attempts to pull off the most ambitious of all wedding heists in the name of independence and sisterhood.

FFFA kicks the 2023 festival off with a BANG with this outrageous action-packed romp. A distinctly unique genre mash-up, Polite Society is bursting at the steams with enough infectious maximalist energy and creative ass-kicking to even rival 2022’s breakout smash hit Everything Everywhere All At Once.
